Green Studies - the Environment

The purpose of The Great Race of 1908 was to prove that the automobile was a reliable form of transportation. The purpose of The Great Race of 2008 is to bring a greater awareness to the public of innovative automotive technologies and the use of renewable fuels in the age of global warming. The focus of The Great Race of 2008 is protection of the environment, and the need for research and development to that end.

Discovering their passions - Participation in this global collaborative classrooms project can serve as the catalyst for many student to discover their passion, and to embark upon studies and careers related to a cleaner, healthier environment. These careers possibilities range from "green" architectural design and building, to environmental law, government, filmmaking and other media careers, international relations, agriculture, oceanography, education and much more!

This project, done correctly, will be an amazing event in the lives of the students participating. They will never forget it!
